Florence Mussat, M.D. is a Board-Certified Plastic and Reconstructive surgeon in Downtown Chicago and has been in private practice for 13 years.

She is a native of France. She was born and raised in Paris, where she graduated with Honors from the University R. Descartes School of Medicine of Paris in 1984. While in medical school, Dr Mussat worked as a surgical assistant for several plastic surgeons in Paris, after which she developed a passion for Cosmetic and Reconstructive Surgery. She completed her general surgery residency training and a critical care Fellowship at the state University of new York Health Science Center at Brooklyn, NY, and a Microvascular Research fellowship at Mount Sinai Medical Center in NYC, NY.

She then completed a Fellowship in Burn Surgery at Cook County Hospital, in Chicago, IL followed by a Plastic and Reconstructive residency at UIC, in Chicago, IL.
Dr Mussat is certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery since 1999.
She is an active member of the American Society of Plastic Surgeons, Illinois Society of Plastic Surgeons, American medical Association, Chicago Medical Society, Illinois State Medical Society, and Ordre National des Medecins in France.

My philosophy is simple: to provide the best plastic surgery procedure for each patient with personal follow-up care.

A beautiful person is a person whose beauty is in harmony, inside and out. Each person is unique, and considered as a whole: each desired plastic surgery procedure needs to be tailored and adapted to the patient’s anatomy, life style, work schedule and needs.

I will meet with the patient, and answer each individual questions until full satisfaction and understanding is reached. Annual follow-up visits for life are welcome and complimentary. I strive to provide the latest advances in Plastic Surgery, and I only use FDA-approved medical devices and products.

As a woman, I understand the need to keep femininity in harmony with graceful aging.
